Credberg plans to invest over Rs 1,000 crore

Credberg is in talks to invest over Rs 1,000 crores in income-generating assets across the top six property markets of India. It is one of the investment banks that focuses on real assets and Credberg advisory is supported by the Indian arm of Brookfield Financial (BFIN).

Let us learn about the faces behind Credberg Investment Management. 

CIM is Co-founded by the managing partners at the firm, Pawan Swamy and Adil Engineer. Before they founded Credberg, both of them were handling assignments as Managing partners and partners respectively.

The organization has already framed a new platform known as Credberg Investment Management for coming into the fund market. Credberg is foraying into investment management and also plans to raise its maiden fund, Credberg Real Estate Office Opportunities Fund 1(CREOOF-1). The planned amount of over Rs 1000 crores will be assisted by this new fund of $75 million (570 crores). The main aim of this new platform is to focus more on deals where there is a vacuum for capital in the market. In the days to come, the platform will also focus to raise funds focusing on different asset classes and across the entire development cycle of the project.

Here is the list of major cities that will mainly be laid focused on with the proposed fund- Mumbai, Bangalore, Pune, Delhi-NCR, Hyderabad, and Chennai. 

Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), a statutory regulatory body that monitors and regulates the Indian capital and market securities, has given approval to the company(Credberg) for the proposed category.
